Carolina Hill Shelter Joins the Global #GivingTuesday Movement

Carolina Hill Shelter in Marshfield, MA has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. #GIVINGTUESDAY is an international day of gratitude and generosity that will be held this year on December 3rd. You can make a difference locally by participating in Carolina Hill’s #GIVINGTUESDAY fundraising drive.

This year Carolina Hill faces a new and different challenge. On November 1, 2019 a massive tree came crashing through one of our buildings. We are grateful that nobody was hurt and that it did not impact our ability to provide safe haven, support and guidance to the homeless families we serve. It has, however, created a monumental challenge: We need to remove the tree, repair the structural damage, replace the roof and restore the electrical system. This building houses our linens, extra beds, mattresses, supplies and at this time of year, gifts that are donated to our resident families for the holidays. The damage and necessary construction is disrupting the day to day function of our program. As you plan your holiday and end of year donations, please consider contributing to Carolina Hill. Your donation will ensure that our staff can remain focused on guiding our homeless families towards acquiring long term, independent housing. We ask that you make a cash donation to Carolina Hill’s #GIVINGTUESDAY drive. Your support will be greatly appreciated and will make a difference.  You can do this through the DONATION TAB on this  website or by sending your contribution to Carolina Hill Shelter, 728 Main Street, Marshfield, MA 02050.
